Tokuko's 365 Days of Pep Talk for NMT

When you have difficult moments, you may wonder why you are forsaken by the world, however, everything that happens in your life has a meaning. Remind you that your goal is not a complete recovery. The real goal is to not be swayed by sickness. Fulfill yourself by yourself always to find as much gratitude as possible and acquire the ability to truly live life so that you will see a path of happiness along the way you have walked when you look back.

【NOTICE TO READERS】***NMT (No Moisturizing Treatment) is scientifically proved with evidence in Japan for TSW (Topical Steroid Withdrawal) in 1994 by the advocate, Dr. Kenji Sato. The information here is provided with his approval. I have been supporting TSW sufferers as an experiencer on a non-profit basis.*** >>It is worth trying NMT for your TSW symptoms. There are already SO many sufferers who got well/improved all over the world to learn the protocol through my blog 'Tokuko's Room to Feel Uplifted' which has readers in more than 150 countries around the world. If you initiate it, please try to learn it VERY seriously with the blog above, 'NMT Education Group' /'The NMT Healed Club' on Facebook and this blog because there are no translated NMT books except in Japanese. You need to get over a very tough process on NMT so your correct knowledge will be required to accomplish it. All healed people made efforts to learn it very hard so making a personal notebook to review is essential to acquire accurate knowledge. Also, in any situation, try to find a trustworthy doctor to avoid other sicknesses. The infection should also be diagnosed by doctors, and you need to take prescribed medicines immediately in case you get it to not prolong your symptoms.

February 2020

I really want you to know a VERY important thing if you'd like to accomplish NMT (No Moisturizing Treatment).

If you follow NMT as directed, you will go through a phase of inflammation, such as RSS (Red Skin Syndrome) or Exudate (ooze), and then enter a drying phase.

Remember this.
Skin needs to dry completely before healing.
ouen_man

In the drying stage, the appearance looks very bad...I can say, it looks miserable.  It depends but might look uglier than RSS.  And even worse, you feel intense itch in the stage.  So at this phase, many suffeers misunderstand that they got aggravated.  Everybody is surprised to see the condition usually but it is just a process of healing.  You need to understand it.

I see a lot of posts asking if they got aggravated to others showing very dried skin with scabs in TSW support groups .
massao 1243902

Since dried skin looks really bad, a lot of non professionals advise, "You may get infections!" or "You need to apply moisturizers!" or "You should add ---*** Sea Salt in the bath!" or "You can peel off the crusts in the bath tab!" or "Apply *** oil immediately!", etc...
(Attention:  Don't ask non professionals to diagnose about infections.  It is definitely doctors' portion.  And if you get it, you need to be prescribed medication to take immediately to not prolong your symptoms.)

Every time I see such pictures and advice, I really feel like explaining, "No!  It's not aggravation!  If you keep air-drying it, healing happens!  After that, you'll be healed!  Don't apply anything or don't add anything in the bath tab.  You are going to start over the healing process if you get such advice....."  However, as long as they don't take NMT, I can't do it because it is their preferred methods.

Again, skin needs to dry completely before healing.  So you should be patient to leave the affected parts as is at the dried stage.

Completely dried skin (after ooze and RSS phase) looks really bad and is extremely itchySufferers tend to quit NMT at this stage.  You will repeat 'scratch and dry' over and over again in this stage but skin is getting stronger little by little.

If you don't have infections or other sickness, try to keep air-drying on NMT.  Your skin is repaired underneath during this drying process.
Once it is accelerated at this final stage, healing can be so fast.

To see successful results, please read and learn articles (This blog, Tokuko's Room To Feel Uplifted, NMT Education Group (Facebook) and The NMT Healed Club (Facebook).

Try to follow NMT protocol as much as you could and as strictly as possible

As you are not under expert's supervision, please learn it seriously.  Your knowledge will be the biggest support for you.  So many TSW suffereres have achieved it already without NMT doctors but they learned NMT SO seriously.  Don't miss a thing! 💖

(**You need to see a trustful doctor sometimes because there are sickness that only doctors can find.)

I sometimes see open discussions about NMT (No Moisturizing Treatment) mentioning that it gets worse before healing on NMT.

unhappy_woman5To be precise, it is incorrect, meaning, completely dried skin looks uglier so non-medial professions like us (sometimes dermatologists who have never seen non-steroidal treatment's result going all the way through also...) tend to misunderstand that we got aggravated to see bad appearance of completely dried skin.  However, it is the process of healing.

Completely dried skin looks ugly and you feel intense itch too at the dried phase definitely.  So most of suffeers who haven't learned NMT very well panic  because they think they have worsened.

However, please remember this.  Skin must be completely dried before healing as you have ever experienced, I mean, when you were healed from injuries, it was cured after the scabs were formed and dried completely.

You'll have to repeat 'scratch and dry' over and over in the drying stage usually.  It is tough phase mentally too but your skin is getting stronger gradually going through this process.

This process is what I really want to let you know for sufferers who try NMT.  As long as you don't have infections or other sickness, just keep air-drying.

Hang in there.
Healing happens to you too.

To accomplish NMT, your strong determination is required because if you add other methods at the same time doing NMT or if you miss things that you have to do on NMT, it is not NMT anymore and healing takes longer. You need to understand it.

I keep telling you to do it thoroughly, and do exactly as is. 😊

Of course, we understand that it is difficult to do quite the same as inpatients at home, so healing might take a little longer than inpatients but a closer approach is possible. Try to do it as much as possible and do not add your original method. ⛔️

'Everyone' gets well/improved from TSW within 3 months in the hospital so, again, if it takes very long, you are missing something that you have to do on NMT or you are adding some other methods at the same time (=not doing NMT). Please review the protocol.

(**Read and learn what I explained in the articles of Tokuko's Room To Feel Uplifted (English Version) and comments in NMT Education Group - Facebook. They will help you.
😊💖 )
tatemono_hospital2

Without trusting the method, you tend to do other treatments at the same time and such an action ends up slower healing. We know the process is tough, however, if you trust NMT, you can get well very fast.👍

(**NMT is for TSW from AD (Atopic Dermatitis)/eczema but not for perfect healing of AD. It is important to understand that even if you search around the world, a perfect cure for AD has not been discovered yet. However, 'dermatitis induced by steroids' is usually diagnosed as AD in the world, your original skin problem that you have been believing as AD also would be improved after healing from TSW.)
1768850

I can't force you to choose NMT because the process is very tough but since healing happens very fast definitely as long as it is TSW and you do it thoroughly, I keep disseminating this method and take time to explain this for you.
I just want to help you out from your current agony because as an experienced person of ultra severe symptoms, I can understand your suffering better than anyone.💖

Please understand that without learning NMT seriously, you can't get expected fast recovery. As long as you are asking questions that are already explained somewhere, posibility is high that you are missing something that you have to know. Read and learn NMT. I highly recommend you to make a notebook or something to achieve this method. Such an effort will help you from TSW.💖 All succrssful healed/improved sufferers learned it very hard.

Wishing your fastest healing. Get back your real life!

Hang in there!

While I was in the hospital (Hannan Chuo Hospital, Osaka Japan), my symptom was VERY severe and I wasn't allowed to walk...rather than being allowed to walk, I couldn't walk because of the terrible pain with double sized swollen legs in the first place.  So I started to work out at the very last stage.  Still, I got miraculous recovery within 3 months.
腫れる脚

I keep telling everyone to practice NMT thoroughly but 'thoroughly' means, to not mix your own way or other methods.  Please do it as much as possible.

For example, even if you stop using TS (Topical Steroids), start water restriction and reduce frequency of bathing/showering, if you keep applying moisturizers, your expected fast improvement won't happen.  (Because you are not NMT practicing NMT in this case.)

To learn it hard getting correct knowledge is essential
because you have to do it without NMT doctors' assistance there.  Your knowledge will be the biggest help for yourself.  In other words, only your accurate knowledge can be your support.
611429

As long as I know, all healed sufferers with NMT learned it SO seriously to not miss even a tiny part of the protocol.  Again, your effort to learn NMT will help you.

Just try to follow it as much as possible.  Of course, I know that it is difficult to do quite the same thing with inpatients because the situation you are in is different from their perfectly blessed one.  So healling time may be different, meaning, it depends on how much you do NMT in the same way as inpatients do.  Healing may take longer than theirs (from 45 days to 90 days) but you don't have to be patient for years so please don't be depressed.

I'd like to say this over and over again.
There are sufferers who apply moisturizers or add bath additives (salt, garlic, etc...) or peel off crusts, etc...and mention NMT doesn't work for them but they are not doing NMT.  Or sometimes they misunderstand their symptom as aggravation at the dried phase that they definitely have to go through.  Such ones don't understand the most important points of NMT and believe that they are doing NMT.
I'm not criticizing other methods but to not prolong the symptoms, and for your faster recovery, I keep telling you that do NMT througly and learn it 'seriously' once you decided to accomplish NMT.

I started to disseminate NMT (No Moisturizing Treatment) from Japan to the world for TSW (Topical Steroid Withdrawal) sufferers in Nov 2017 because no matter where you look around the world, there is no crucial solution but I have known one.

Since the method is the best in my life and I saw miracurous recovery of all sufferers in the hospital (Hannan Chuo Hospital, in Osaka, Japan), I have been sharing the protocol to educate TSW sufferers for their healing through my blog Tokuko's Room To Feel Uplifted (English Version)

Experiencing ultra severe symptoms and having no solution or no effective treatment near my house for about 2 years and 6 months, I fully know how tough it is so although English is not my native language and I'm not good at it, I want to help out sufferers who are having a hard time with the same situation.  I'd like to enphasize that this is my only intention.  Even with a lot of time and effort for this activity, I couldn't keep silent thinking about sufferers who have no port to take in a storm.

PC 1219995

Nevertheless, it is natural to doubt the authenticity of the information obtained on the Internet.
Before starting NMT, a lot of sufferers would think,
"It looks really effective for TSW...but seems like I have to endure tough process on it.  I wonder if it is worth to it..."
"Even if I went through it, TSW might happen again after recovery because healing time with NMT is unbelievably too short..."
etc...

Thus, I receive tons of questions from all over the world  asking,
"Does TSW happen again after healing?"
"How is your symptoms? Is it still good?"

PC1182850

Ahem....I have answered about it here and there in many TSW support groups and of course in my blog article too but apparently those questioners haven't read them well....lol
So let me answer here too in case you are wondering about it.

First, I can say I have been doing REALLY great.  My skin is getting stronger and more beautiful year by year after the last flare.  Some parts generate sebum (natural oils) though it had never happend in my life before NMT.
1298950

Second, originally, I have AD (Atopic Dermatitis) and super dry skin but even if I say, "I have AD.", no one can tell that I have it, I believe.
Due to AD, I have had very tiny symptom after healing but to prove it, I have to bring the affected part close to your eyes and show it...lol!  Again, skin is getting stronger year by year so tiny AD flares can be tolerable and it would get well within several days or more if you keep air-drying the part.

Third, I have good condition but I keep doing mild NMT even now.  Also, I'd like to let you know that I try to stay positive in any situation because your state of mind affects your body as you know.
And I don't abuse water, meaning, I still do mild water restriction.  When I attend parties, I tend to drink much more water (water and tea but not alcohol...lol) than usual but since I know the skin condition gets worse with too much water intake for TSW experienced people, I try to not drink too much.

We shouldn't forget that our body (brain) has experienced TSW so I recommend you to not drink too much water.  It is not tough any more for us because we have experienced very strict water restriction.

(**Discharged sufferers from the hospital also have been doing mild water restriction even after healing.  You also will see it hearing your body.  If the symptom gets worse, we definitely start strict water restriction.)
728539

However, all of TSW sufferers should know this fact that even if you take any method, nobody can predict if TSW would happen again or not after healing because it is the side effect of medicinesIt is the scary part of medicine's side effect.  Human beings invented them but we don't know what is going to happen in the far away future.  And there's no data about it in the world.  So I don't know if it happens again to me or not but I knew NMT worked for TSW so I just would do it strictly if it happend again.
854262

Also, there is no perfect method to heal AD all over the world because human beings found only one cause of AD, meaning, filaggrin gene.  So after healing with any method, your original skin problem like AD would remain but it will be much better than before usually because steroid induced dematopathy may have been diagnosed as aggravation of AD or something by dermatologists usually.

A lot of TSW sufferers experience ooze and are tired of its bad smell.  However, ooze is VERY important for your faster healing.
691286

Most of sufferers misunderstand that we are detoxing with ooze but it is not toxin and has very important factor for recovery of your skin.

It is made of protein (Dr. Kenji Sato's additional tips: 'Bad smell is the result of breakdown of protein by bacteria.')

Ooze comes out to fix the wound so we shouldn't wipe it off for faster healing.  A lot of protein is contained in it and it can act like a lid that both covers and protects the wounds at the same time.

Learn about ooze more in the article below.

If you have leanred NMT seriously, you don't need to ask about each food.😌

I receive tons of questions about food from all over the world 😅 as below,

"Is A***** ok to eat?
"Is B***** fine to drink?
"Can I have C***** on NMT?
"Is it better to take Hyaluronic Acid?"
"Do you think Collagen is good?"
"How about Probiotic pills?"
"Don't we need to do Gluten-free diet?"
etc....
etc...

Ahem...I'm sorry, I can't answer for all foods in each country around the world...LOL! 🤣

Before asking questions, please remember what the basic protocol says.

Dr. Sato recommends 'Balanced Meal'.  That's it!😅
035d9c393089aafe51a2ca1d6b782d17_s

Additionally, he suggests to have much more protein and lipid than usual because it is necessary for generating new healthy skin. (And your body consumes a lot of protein due to ooze, crusts and generating skin so it is definitely necessary.)

Also, we are advised to not take licorice (= liquorice, glycyrrhiza, etc...) because your skin would misunderstand that you had begun to take steroids again.  However, Dr. Sato says that we shouldn't be too much nervous about it.  For example, you should know that TCM (Tradditional Chinese Medicine) sometimes contains licorice a lot.
(Dr. Kenji Sato's additional helpful tips: In TCM, there are high concentrations occasionally, but the actual harm is not strong.)

I have seen panicked comments in TSW support groups about licorice like, "I have had licorice by mistake!  Do I have to start over TSW???"....
1611760

I understand your feeling...but if you asked it to me, the answer would be, "Sorry, nobody knows...It all depends.  It may happen or may not." as no one in the world can predict if TSW happens again or not.  (No mater where you look around the world, you won't find that data.)  Other people also don't know your history or situation or symptoms, etc...so it is impossible to answer either way.

But the fact that you must be most aware of is that it hasn't happened yet.  So I'd say if you worry about things what haven't happened yet, it's just bad for you.  Also, considering about NMT basic protocol, since trying to stay positive is a part of NMT, imaginary fears are against the rule.  If it happened, we have to get it over in any situation...

As for me, I care about licorice in food and any other products but if I get TSW in the future with it, I will do NMT strictly again so I don't worry about future sickness.

Fortunately, I was able to meet wonderful NMT doctors in Japan and had an opprotunity to learn it seriously in the hospital.  (**I began to introduce NMT to TSW sufferers in the world because I experienced unbelievable fast healing from my serious condition and saw everyone's amazing recovery there.)  Furthermore, I can read Dr. Kenji Sato's books and other NMT doctors' ones so you might think your situation is less fortune, however, you also have the same answer with me already.

Again, 'Balanced Meal' is the answer.

If you read the line above, you don't need to ask, "How about melons?", "Can I eat chickens?", etc...LOL!

He doesn't recommend Supplements or TCM very much because medicines must go through very rigorous testing before they are approved, but the criteria for supplements and TCM to be approved is not very high.  Impurities may be included.
(Please understand that I'm not criticizing supplements and TCM.  And we don't know the criteria of all countries.  I'm explaining that they are not recommended for TSW sufferers on NMT.)
Just focus on having balanced mealThat is good enough.

There are various kinds of business in the world and sometimes we are targeted at by AD (Atopic Dermatitis) business to sell something.  Dr. Sato always says to not be fooled by commercial strategies and we have to get eyes to tell if it is good.

TSW is not such a simple to resolve with one food/supplement/etc...And we should know that it is completely different from allergy or hives.

We have to keep an eye on safe food choices without being fooled by commercial strategies.

Hang in there.
Healing happens to you.
